Log entry # 00.01dm.01.001

The winds were strong that night. The massive ice bearing waves of the blizzard crushed against my lone silhouette on the snow dunes, each new wave planting its frozen talons deeply into my skin. I had disregarded the chances of my bike breaking down in the middle of the sunset valley. It is usually safe in the day and one of the best places to see Mithral and Arthroth set. Through the night, it is safe to drive through usually, as spirestalkers do not delve this far into the plains, but the cold alone is a mighty foe. Thankfully I was not so far from Breaker's Cove and knowing it, my steps were assured.

I might have been walking through the snow for two imperial hours, when I noticed a strange glow below me. Under my feet, under the snow, a piercing blue light came from the ice-covered ground. I stepped back and looked at the spot I was just a moment ago. The snow had somehow melted leaving the glass-like floor perfectly clean, besides the light blue hue it was emitting. A bright flash blinded me and then, the darkness took over what it was due. While still questioning what had just happened, I began running on my way to the Cove.

When I arrived home, father threw his usual questions at me. Where was I? Did I see the time? What happened to my bike? I myself wasn't sure. My cheeks were frozen by the tears my eyes had to fight the blizzard with. All that mattered for me now was to figure out what was this light back there. I told him everything, and requested that we go investigate with the breakers. Father turned the idea down. "You need to get some sleep now sweetheart, I'll discuss it with the breakers tomorrow" he said, placing his big hands on my shoulders. One would be amazed at the soothing power a bear-built man can have, and so I just went to sleep.
